In trying to feel out Robert's thinking behind this decision, perhaps the SC too was sensing a gathering of the pitchforks after the CU decision. They knew it was highly unpopular with most of mainstream America including many on the right.
Pelosi said she thought it would be a 6/3 decision. I never was that optimistic but somehow I just felt that they were not going to screw the entire nation twice over or there would be dire consequences.
As far as Justice Roberts, I never heard anything of epilepsy, back in 2005 they said it was a mild heart attack. There is a form of epilepsy that only causes seizures when the body temperature gets too high. I remember something about him being on a fishing or boating trip and being out in the heat.
Well that's just more proof positive that the GOP doesn't believe in hiring people with disabilities, like they should be put out to pasture or something. They are going to pay big time for their making fun of a man with a disability. It's called Karma and we have seen God kick many a blowhard in the butt for poking fun and bullying like that.
Romney says this is galvanizing his side. I say you better back off to Buffalo because what this is doing is galvanizing the SUPREME COURT! Regardless of their votes, you can't tell me they are not a totally tight knit group. And they are human beings first and foremost. The GOP might never get another case past them for a long time to come after this.

Ron....Michael Alan Weiner aka michael savage is an IDIOT. In 2007 he said, "Autism is a fraud....a racket" and called it a "phoney disease." I have a grandchild in the Autism Spectrum and I know for a fact there is nothing phoney about autism....

Has it ever been reported that Chief Justice Roberts takes epilepsy drugs? i've been researching and all I can find is ...he had a seizure in 1993 and again in 2005. He spent the night in a hospital in Maine. Doctors called the episode a begin idiopathic seizure. That is a non-identifiable physiological cause. Has Roberts ever talked about his seizures?
i think the repubs are making excuses for Roberts while throwing him under the bus..

Pat mike savage is a radio name his real name is michael alan weiner and he is 70. He was raised in new york, and has four college degrees 3 from new york schools and one from uc berkley. He is in love with himself and his fans love him and if you look at this man's history he has lived as a closet conservative for some time as he was on kgo in sf cal. and it is a liberal station and he was on msnbc for a short time and was fired after he went off on a crank caller in a very crude way . His wife and son are the owners of rock star energy drinks. He is a big health food type and for natural stuff then his family sells this crap which I hear is loaded with caffeine and sugar, and there are herbs in it and I can bet mikie has his fingers in this crap. In fact our department said they dont want us drinking this stuff while on calls or strike teams that involve fire and structure work, and they dont want it even on the our equipment. if you look it up and see what is in you wouldnt drink it.
He was good friends with alan ginsberg but now he is anti gay, his first wife had two abortions and he is now anti abortion, he is anti woman rights but his wife is the ceo of rockstar, he is a total fake and he was what I would call a liberal hippie in the 60's and 70's and travel the south sea in search for natural cures for illness, and he has written books but who would read them unless you love this nut. He has a big mouth and everything I read about him he and his followers are now very radical and have things like the saveage nation (radio show) and the paul revere group which says the feminist are ruling the country and destroying the nation. Its just like that highway bill, and student loan thing which was finally passed. Republicans didn't do any of it out of the goodness of their hearts, they did it because they had no choice!!!!!!!!!! Don't think that they are not worried about losing the House, and some Senate, seats, along with it in November. Don't think that young people don't know this. Most young people are Independants, anyway, Sons, and Daughters who of Democrats, and Republicans, who don't want anything to do with either party! Can you blame them? I have some in my own family, but I too am an Independant who fell away from the Democratic party after that 1999 vote on more accountability for Wall Street and the Corporate 1%. I was furious, after that vote, and I swore that I would cut ties with theat spinless party! I know who voted in favor of it, you can count them on one hand. It doesn't mean that I don't like some--Democrats, because I do. I will always be stuck voting for the lesser of two evils.

He thinks he knows everything as I would listen to him off and on when I needed a good laugh. He doesnt talk to many phone ins as he just yells, and when a person he goes on a long rant. When I heard his remarks I knew he knew why roberts went to the dark side even if he doesnt know with his limited knowledge but not in his view that it is limited.

Let's also not forget that most of the social programs that were enacted in this country which have kept people out of poverty were mostly opposed by the GOP. Like Social Security, Medicare, Civil Rights, the G.I. bill, and more.
So now they are going to double down against the AG and double down and enact more of the war on women crap and voter suppression laws. This is how they operate. By political vendetta. Not the good of the country, not the Constitution, not even their own conscience because as we can now see most of them don't have one. Look for more religious fanaticism.
And somebody really needs to get Rand Paul on some meds too. The one man revolution of crazy.
Alot of these tea partiers are going to resort to some pretty scary tactics as they get more desperate and lose their grip on power.
They'll probably have to institutionalize Joe Walsh. He needed to be behind bars anyway.
This all just goes to show one thing. No matter how many billionaires you have on your side writing those checks, you STILL cannot buy class.

Sorry I've been out of commission a few days, had some dental surgery, but still have been keeping up with the latest.
I had no doubt the court would uphold the health care act.
Michael Savage, the name just fits doesn't it? Spence, calling it another 9/11. The congresswoman in the white dress having a public meltdown. They are all acting like a bunch of hysterical wussies. Spoiled rotten rich kids who didn't get their way. Thinking they had the Supreme Court of the United States bought and paid for. Of course Rush Limbaugh is used to making fun of people with disabilities so that's par for the course for him.
Perhaps Justice Roberts has seen enough of the side of life that keeps you in hospitals and medical offices and rehab centers to spend a moment wondering what it would be like if he were an average man on the street with no health insurance. Perhaps he is a man with a conscience which seems to be entirely missing in the Republican party the last few years or maybe the last few decades.

And Romney, the man who would (not) be President, saying he will repeal the very healthcare act that he proposed and passed in the state of Massachusetts. Then bragging about how much money they have made since the ACA was upheld.
Average people getting healthcare just doesn't sit well with the rich man unless you want to be governor and it's the only thing standing between you and the governor's office. Now it's the antichrist.
The GOP is redefining itself again and again as each of these issues come up. And it looks uglier and more hideous as time goes on.
Interesting how they quickly passed a highway bill and kept lower interest rates for student loans. Could it be they were sensing the gathering of the pitchforks outside their offices? Besides being the most do nothing congress in history with the lowest rating, they have now referred to the highest legal official in the country as a crazy man.
This is the most scorched earth political party and atmosphere I have seen in my lifetime. They are truly self destructing. They have not a whole lot left to run on and a candidate that is a complete embarrassment.
I'm getting the feeling there is a lot of medication being given out lately in Republican circles as they all sense the apocalypse is near. Justice Roberts has a legitimate medical issue.
The rest of the GOP? Just plain crazy.
