Condi VP Bait and Switch

Is the speculation about Condoleeza Rice as Mitt Romney's VP nominee for real? It's awfully coincedental that the leak about Condi happened just as Romney's SEC filing came to light. Would Romney really nominate a high-ranking Bush administration official to be his VP? Especially one who was so close with George W. Bush that she once slipped and called him her husband.

I think I can clear all this Condi Rice talk up now, with some things I heard over the weekend. I don't think Romney will pick her, anyway, because she is kind of pro-choice, and her biggest regret is that her Boss's-Bush's, immigration plan wasn't voted into law, and his policy, didn't call for self deportation! I think those two things right there, knock her right out of it. All this Condi talk, is just another distraction away from the real issues, which are Bain- and Tax returns, which Romney doesn't want to talk about.

This is just life as usual in the GOP and for robme, who is a known bully and used to getting his way. Asking for an apology is pathetic, especially considering the lies that have been told about Barack Obama. Four years ago I had ads every five minutes about the evil Rev. Wright.. where are they now? The "good Christians" are scared enough to vote for a real non-Christian. Bring on the rapture!! A Mormon at the top of the ticket and a black woman second... I believe we will implode.

TAX THE RICH! When do the bush tax cuts expire? Isn't it 12/21/2012? Whatever..

I think nominating her as VP would be great. Let's see.... every time a voter would see a Romney/Rice bumper sticker he/she would be reminded of the successful Bush administration and how Robme, if elected, would carry on those great policies! Invade Iran...cut taxes on the wealthy--the national debt be damned...deregulate Wall Street...repeal any and all reforms to the health care rip-off industry...etc.,etc.,etc.

After four years of calling Obama every name in the book, they would put a Black woman in the Vice President seat? More smoke and mirrors from the righties. Anything to woo the Black voters.

II believe in the minds of the GOP leaders that Bush was successful. He was able to lower taxes on the wealthy so that the gap between the wealthy and the rest of us widened, they were able to invade Iraq, an oil rich country, and enrich the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Bush helped to push the Karl Rove agenda of moving this country further in the direction of libertarianism. The public lost their homes, jobs, etc. while the wealthy gained greater wealth and the large corporations were rewarded for sending jobs abroad. That is why even if it is not highly visible Mitt is supporting the Bush domestic and foreign policies and has several advisers from the Bush Administration on his staff. These conservatives without consciences envision a very different vision for America than the rest of us and they have no shame for what they are doing to others. All they want to do is increase their bottom line and power by doing whatever it takes. I think that they really assume that the public is stupid and that they can continually fool us. The problem is that the sleeping giant has awoken and we are more aware than ever that our democracy is at stake. Activism has been re-ignited and people are fighting back and will no longer accept the GOP lies and distortions as the truth. So it is hard to say if the GOP is using Condi as a diversion or if they really want her on their team when they begin their plans to invade another country i.e. Russia or Iran.

I meant to say I was opposed to the President using Bush people in his administration.

Yes let's just recycle all the Bush people, that will help...............not! The fact she is black, the fact she is a woman, cuts no ice with me and shouldn't with anyone else either.

She went along with every lie and every manuever Bush/Cheney wanted and never stood up for the truth or what is right. Remember the Iraq war!!! She and Cheney were at each other's throats constantly in a power struggle. Which tells you about how much power W really had in that whole thing.

I was vehemently opposed to the President using Bush's people in any aspect of his campaign. I think it was a mistake.

Why they continue to bring her name up is beyond me unless it is just what this segment says, to use it as a distraction. If that is what they have to do to win any kind of respect, they are in serious trouble.
