Linda s .President Obama is going to speak in just a few minutes to the families of the shooting victims, You are right about the critics. I am sure they are writing before the president even speaks. I bet Romney is having a baby "duck" fit because he cannot justify meeting with these families. I bet he will try and if he does it only prove he is doing it for political ploy.

One place I do believe we need tougher control is: why is it harder to vote than buy 6000 rounds of ammo on line? Why is it harder to vote than buy a gun? ALL gun dealers, even at gun shows, need to be required to do the paper work and a complete background check.

I also believe we will be seeing more of this type action with the state the economy is in. Violence always increases in a recession type environment.

I'm glad the President is going to Colorado to give these people some comfort but naturally the critics will be coming out of the woodwork calling it a political ploy.

Larry, I really liked your "real hero" Batman cartoon on facebook. Kind of puts things in perspective doesn't it.

While many in our country descend into further poverty as illustrated by the latest statistic that it is rising to the levels of the 1960's, we have some that will do anything to further an agenda.

I think alot of this is so far above our heads that it is almost incomprehensible. The powers that be are well aware of this. Keep us in the trenches so we won't be aware of how much more the powerful elite have grabbed for themselves.

Ron...I'm not sure any amount of gun control will ever stop terrible things like this from happening. There are just people who are so angry or mad, or feebleminded or plain evil that will always find away to get those types of weapons. We need to stop making them. Half the people in Va. are running around saying Obama wants to take our guns.....It is crazy... the NRA is just to big an they own the republican party. Demaning a debate between the President and Romney on gun control is kind of like a gotta question.

To me both men showed class in pulling out of the race mode for awhile along with pulling their ads in the area. I may not agree with Mitt and his vision for america, but I do give both credit for their actions.

The sad thing is people are now making this a political issue and we dont even know why this person did what he did. It is time for this poop to stop and give the victims and their family time to heal...

If gun control becomes an issue later ok but lets give these people a chance to heal and recover from this......

just my humble view
