Romney: No Questions About Abortion or Todd Akin
posted by Ed Staff | Thursday, August 23, 2012

Mitt Romney has not made himself the most accessible candidate with the press as of late, and now he's taken it to the next level. In the wake of Rep. Todd Akin's comments about 'legitimate rape,' Romney has now begun to insist reporters refrain from asking about abortion or Todd Akin. There was a time not so many years ago when Republicans would have welcomed the opportunity to talk about abortion. Now, not so much.

He wants to set women so far back it's not even funny, keep in mind American women: we can't let the radical right pick the next supreme court justices!

When is the last time a Republican didn't want to talk about or even mention the word abortion in their presence?

I am calling on the IRS to Audit Mitt Romney..............the info we know so far leads me to believe he is a tax cheat & he really didn't pay his taxes fully............he keeps making the claim he did, but I don't believe him!!!!!!!!!

Campaigning for President is really applying for the JOB to be President:

Romney seems to have an awful lot to hide..............how can a Mitt Romney run for President & refuse to be transparent at the same time?????????????.........its like applying for a job, filling out he application half-way, and saying you have a resume & references but you can't see them while refusing to answer questions during the job interview...........who will hire you?

"So don't ask me no questions

and I won't tell you no lies

So don't ask me about my business

and I won't tell you goodbye"

Lynyrd Skynyrd

Rather appropiate eh? It should be the theme song for the repub convention.

It's so true how the media plays softball with the Repub candidates. While watching the Repub primaries last year, I kept waiting for a question that would make them feel uncomfortable or to see them squirm. No, it was kept very light and the obvious relief for candidates and media came when asked about who was going to win a ball game.

From the moment Romney took the main stage, I could see that he's nothing more than an empty suit. His real background is hidden away in massive wealth and shady actions that have nothing to do with the average American. Yet, the low-information voters hate Obama more so that they'll get their marching orders from FOX as to how to support Romney and even defend his practices.

New instructions for the Press:

If you want to interview Governor Romney you must agree to the following ground rules:

1. Ask no questions regarding his activities as the head of Bain Capital.

2. Ask no questions regarding the details of his proposed Federal budget.

3. Ask no questions regarding the details of his Medicare changes.

4. Ask no questions regarding his tax returns.

5. Ask no questions regarding his off-shore investments.

6. Ask no questions regarding what tax loopholes he would close.

7. Ask no questions regarding how he would create jobs for the unemployed and under

employed.

8. Ask no questions regarding the new Republican platform.

9. Ask no questions regarding his giving to his church.

10.Ask no questions regarding Paul Ryan's budget proposals.

11.Ask no questions regarding abortion.

12.Ask no questions regarding Todd Akin.

Other than above rules, ask the Governor anything you want

Romney's latest excuse for not releasing his tax returns is that he doesn't want anyone to know how much he donated to charity and his Mormon Church. Unless he is a real cheapskate, why would anyone care about that! This excuse sounds rather lame to me. I think that he is really hiding the fact that for many years, maybe most, he paid little or no federal tax.

It has been stated more than once that the real reason for not releasing the returns is because they did NOT pay their 10 percent to the church as they have often said they did. Otherwise, why hide the returns. I don't know any American that would have a problem with a family donating money to their church.

Interesting that Romney does not want to talk about Akin or his tax returns and believes in supplying information to the public on a needs to know basis. It continues to show us how arrogant and moody he really is. He sees himself as the CEO and the rest of us as minimum wage workers who work for him. Mitt is the angry old man not President Obama. Maybe Mitt should go back to Mass or Utah or California or Bermuda or the Cayman Islands. His bull about not sharing more of his income tax returns because of his donations will not work because of his low tax return rates, whether he paid income taxes for the last ten years, the large amount of his money being held outside the US and his million dollar IRA are of more concern than his donations.
