Clinton on Ryan Medicare Attacks: It Takes Some Brass
posted by Ed Staff | Thursday, September 06, 2012

President Bill Clinton gave a rousing speech at the DNC, and took on Paul Ryan's distortions on Medicare.

"So, President Obama and the Democrats didn't weaken Medicare. They strengthened Medicare. Now, when Congressman Ryan looked into that TV camera and attacked President Obama’s Medicare savings as “the biggest, coldest power play,” I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. That 716 billion dollars is exactly to the dollar the same amount of Medicare savings that he had in his own budget. It takes some brass to attack a guy for doing what you did," the President said, to rousing applause.

Watch it.

Since we have minimum wage laws in this country so we don't have to work for $2 per day, so the Radical Right Wing find other ways to dig into our paychecks & pocket books with what I like to call the "corporations taxing you" such as inflated prices at the pump, lack of sick days at work, inflated prescription drug costs, inflated housing costs, tax burden so they can get their tax cuts, outrageous interest rates on credit cards & banking fees........and the list goes on & on............they top 1% will take it away from you at put their Mitts in your pocket book one way or another.....................it feels like I work for $2 per day after I fill up the gas tank, pay the car insurance, make the car payment, buy groceries..........& etc........not much left after the GOP dig into your wallet........Robin-hood in Reverse.............

People who might be considering voting for Romney should consider that Ayn Ryan will actually be our president.

Romney is not a strong personality. Ryan will overtake him in policy decisions. He's sort of like a little princess, always getting everything he wants without having to work for it. He'll never take the lead with Ryan

I found this on MSN homepage this morning. This is who Romney and Ryan really are…

An Australian mining heiress who courted controversy last month for suggesting her countrymen were just too lazy to be rich is at it again. Gina Rinehart, thought to be the world's richest woman, chastised miners for being “too expensive,” saying, “Africans want to work. Its workers are willing to work for less than $2 per day.”

Clinton made the point that the healthcare law hasn’t even fully vested yet and already it is keeping healthcare costs from rising. The usual cost increase without the Affordable Care Act ACA is something like 4 times the rate of inflation. Our total spending for healthcare is about 25% of the federal budget. We know that Romney will defund the ACA if he gets in soooo how do you think that will impact our economy and debt? NOT GOOD. We need to give Obama his full 8 years to get the truck out of the ditch.

I have been studying the subject of healthcare and for your education there is a great documentary on PBS or you can STREAM it from NETFLIX on your TV for cheap, $7 bucks monthly. It is called “SICK AROUND THE WORLD.” It looks at 6 westernized country’s healthcare systems and their outcomes. If you watch this, you will never think about our healthcare system in the same way again. It really clears up any fears anyone might have about how covering everyone will impact individuals personally.

Linda V. we wont get two pigs in a poke because we wont be able to affored either

I was on ed's blog on msnbc and man the trolls are out in force. I brought up about how I felt the right would treat Jesus if he came back an if he lived in arizona he would have to show papers. Also hammered them on everthing from union busting to not helping people in time of natural disasters. They came up with a bunch of junk and I came back, but wont waste time if they come on again about what I said.

Bill Clinton did a great job on what the gop=tea baggers want to do to the american people. I know the right will go to foxie and come on with the talking points they hear there. waiting to hear the vp and prez. see ya later...

IT’S THE MIDDLE CLASS STUPID!

What's up with the polls? Andrea Mitchell keeps saying Romney is 1% ahead on the question "who do you trust more to fix the economy?” Obama is leading by 1% overall. If the polls are reliable and that’s a big “IF”, then what it says is people may believe Romney could fix the economy, but don’t believe he would be as good a president in other areas that are as important such as national debt and our security, renewable energy, education, and healthcare. We still want Obama because he is a comprehensive president rather than a single issue guy who really just wants the prestige of the job and as soon as he gets it, he will go yachting with his wife. No thanks! Romney’s not a hard worker, he’s a slacker. He does the bare minimum and not one jot more. He gives a 9-5 performance then c locks out. We need to keep our hard working caring committed guy on the job. We know how we got into the mess. It was the same republican policies Romney supports and Obama’s polices are working. We have the data to back that up. We just have to keep working and have confidence in what we know works. IT’S THE MIDDLE CLASS STUPID!

When the Democrats gain seats in the Senate & Retake the House & President Obama starts his second term.............you will see the GOP in panic mode.........you will see division & in-party fighting............the GOP can't survive going another 4 years without acutally governing.
