Posted by Big Eddie | Sunday, October 21, 2012

Since 2000, 5.5 million manufacturing jobs have gone to China, and under a Romney administration, that number would climb dramatically. As Ed broadcasts from the Sensata plant in Freeport, Illinois, Mayor George Gaulrapp and The Nation's John Nichols join Ed to discuss the national impact of Romney's outsourcing.

I just got done typing a long comment then i lost it.

So once again.....Where are the democrats? Well i think Obama is on the job. A job I should have. The fires of greed were let loose some years ago, and I am the man to fix it! What weve got now with romney and Sesata is just the tip of the iceburg. There is alot more offshoring and outsourcing going on right now. and romneys company (by 51%) is responsible for alot of it. Why do you think his tax records are so secret? Its about money. More money! How much money can be sucked up by the top 2% at any cost. Costs such as jobs, healthcare, education, womens rights, workers rights and senior citizens. What this means is you workers, under the bus! All women, under the bus, unemployed, under the bus, high school grads, under the bus, college students, under the bus RETIRED PEOPLE, under the bus. For romney and ryan its all about cut anything and everything except the military. I think the figure47% was a slip of the tounge. He should have said he will cut things that benifit the bottom 98%.

How can he get away with it? Using huge money, a biased media, voter supression and deception.

Did romney say something about cutting taxes for small and midsized businesses? Wasnt that one of Obamas plan? with romney.....it depends on what your definition of a small business is.

I am here ready willing and able to tackle the problems we have. I am the one person you can trust most. I didnt want the job years ago, but i sure as h&ll do now! With me at the helm youll see changes. TAX the top 2%! GREEN ENERGY, American manufacturing. Somoene who will not only stand up for Obamacare and the big 3, medicre, medicaid and social security but also provide strong support for unions! We can bring jobs back! When you see made in USA, buy that product! Dont buy burgers made from southamerican beef! What the people want is what we will get. Dont buy chinese products. We can create infrastructure jobs and GREEN ENERGY jobs!

This can happen. see my site

How about another take on outsourcing: the "outsourcing" of the intelligence of our country's citizens. At lunch today, the table next to me consisted of elderly men discussing politics. (The minimum age at the table must have been 80). They were talking about Social Security being welfare and we should do away with it since nobody earned it. Never mind the fact that by now ALL of these guys are drawing Social Security, which they most certainly paid into all their lives. I think it's obvious where these guys get their "news".

No surprise. Mitt had to go to Poland to find a union leader - Lech Walesa - to endorse him. Lech seemed a little disoriented (to be polite) during the endorsement. I suspect Iacocca has lost a little of his sharpness too. Besides, American Motors acquired Kaiser Frazier and Willys Overland in 1970 and renamed it Jeep and almost ran it into the ground. Lee Iacocca bought Jeep in 1987 and dragged it out of the ditch. Perhaps he thinks he is grateful that the Romneys sold him a national treasure at a favorable price - after they harvested all they could first. So it goes!

Miblue, that's what makes it so much more puzzling to hear that Lee Iacocca endorsed Robme for President.

That's nothing Rob. Mitt and Bain made $15M to $100M on the auto bailout. How low can you go? BTW Where is American Motors? Can I buy a Rambler or Pacer?

Answer American Motors is gone and Mitt's daddy stole the cash - sound familiar? Of course you can't buy a Rambler or Pacer. American Motors has been effectively closed down for 40 years ago less than 12 years after daddy ran it into the ditch - some turnaround expert eh?

Like Linda from Houston pointed out, the Salt Lake City Tribune endorsed Obama! What's that tell you? Even they don't trust shifty eyed Mitt.

More fun facts: Romney took a ten million $$$ bailout from the taxpayers to save his arse at Bain.!!! You talk about a hypocrite. According to the source, that's the equivalent of a family of three living on welfare for 328 years, or a college student taking 1800 semesters with full Pell grants. So you tell me, who's the real welfare Queen? Do you work for a living? Do you vote Repub? Your on a train going nowhere.

John, Linda, Ron and Donnajoy, miblue, I agree with all of you 100% I also want to say rest in peace George McGovern, you are allready missed, and there isn't anyone else out there of your calibar, which is too bad. I agree, that Romney is the last guy you would believe on anything dealing with China. Period!

Miblue, I agree with your comments completely. What I can't understand is why anyone who works for a living would vote Republican. Just doesn't make any sense to me. I guess some people will vote their "prejudices" rather than what's in their own interest.
