Remember during the healthcare debate, when the conservatives couldn't stop screaming about states' rights? Those same critics seem to be pretty quiet today after the Supreme Court handed down a decision which overturns Montana's century-old law banning big corporate money in their elections. The Supreme Court says Montana needs to stand down. The Federal Government calls the shots for your state.  Watch it.

Ah those Con servatives. What's not to love? The election process can now be bought and paid for in Montana. We wouldn't want billionaire influence left out of the loop in one state.

Rex is correct. It will take some time for a new generation to figure it out, but we are heading back in time. When workers rights are completely crushed, people may think, hey! maybe we need to organize and stand up to these people. Big money is taking over, and when they get it all, it's not going to be pretty. Just look at the millions upon millions they are raining on Romney. That's called buying elections, and that is what this con servitive court deems is good for you. When wages and benefits rival third world nations, what do you want to bet they bring the jobs home? When education is just for the rich, unions are broken, they tell you to save the equivalent of 30 years wages for retirement, your S.S. is outta here, only the wealthy get proper healthcare, our infrastructure looks like Pakistan, and you are living a third as well as your parents did, .....they will tell you we are better off.

The U S Extreme Court rules - wrong on rights for corporations. Who would have thunk that Justice "Not True" Alito would be the drum majorette for the courts historic lurch into false belief over reason and 75 years of corporate tyranny - minimum. With Justice Scalia, appearing moderate - if that's possible, in lockstep, Justice Thomas silently marching along, and Chief Justice Roberts exuding embarassment - even for him - bring up the rear, you have to feel pity for the activist conservative ideologs that are not even capable of discriminating between a human being and a multi-national corporation. Fasten your seat belts and keep the barf bag handy America, it is going to be tough to undo the conservative insanity that is infesting the nation. Impeaching ole Justice Not True would be a good first step.

SCOTUS is rigged. There is no justice in the true sense. They just outlawed any legal defense against corporate corruption. We are going back to the dark ages folks. Do the people get it? As Dionne says even conservative principles are against buying local (and national) gov't. Gotta love their take on "freedom" as they mouth it from the podium... it's non-existant.

When are the republicans going to look in the mirror and admit that their elected leaders are primarily concerned about protecting big money interests? I imagine they are saying; "well now we can trust the money interests are going to ensure our righteous agenda".

I stand by what I said in a couple of blogs, that people will fall for anything, unless they get out there and educate themselves. Although, there are some who will fool themselves into believing something that is not reality, like Gov-Jan Brewer, and that god awful Sherrif Joe-from Arizona. Both of these two people simply will not face the reality of what the supreme court said today, on Immiration, instead they want to continue to lie, and to make up things which don't exist to soothe their own small racially biast minds. What, the Supreme Court really said, is that states, cannot throw people out when they see fit, now, because, The Federal Government will still have the final say, in this.

But then, the radical Supreme Court in its other decision, labelled Citizens United 2, and what they ruled in Montana, just sold us all down the river. Its sad that our Democracy is now up for sale to the highest bidder. Lets not kid ousrselves, money does buy everything! This ruling is very damaging, to all of us! If this is not a wake up call to Americans, then I don't know what is.

We approaching the bad old days of the many bloody strikes of the late 19th and 20th centuries when the plutocrats owned everything. We are grossly underfunding our private sector. Our schools, roads, infrastructure, and institutions of higher education are not being adequately funded by the state and federal governments. This burden is being shifted onto the middle classes at a time when middle class wages have been stagnant for 40 years. The Montana decision today also makes a mockery out of the conservatives states rights programs. Montana had a good state election law that worked fine for 100 years. So why change it? The reason is a right winged ALEC inspired and corporate sponsored attempt to take over state governments across the country by flooding state elections from the courthouse to the statehouse to Congress with endless streams of corporate special interest money. The Supreme Court was supposed to be on the side of the little guy so that at least we had a level playing field. It looks as though we all being screwed for a generation. I hope that there is genuine outrage at this decision and what it means.

The plutocracy is in place. It will take massive demonstrations like never see before in Egypt or anywhere. There's a middle class out there who believe, for some reason, what the conservatives are selling. It's confusing to hear someone, no better off than me, losing ground the same as me, with no health insurance, just like me, parrot the idiotic republicon talking points and have nothing but hatred, yes hatred, for anyone who disagrees. These people will be so much worse off than they are under a robme presidency, but they are loyal soldiers.

TAX THE RICH, corporate profits are the highest ever, wages at their lowest.. oh yeah, "the private sector is doing fine" heard that ad a zillion times.. but they are!
