New Jersey Governor Chris Christie nearly came to blows on the boardwalk with a constituent who disagreed with the Governor's disastrous policies on teachers. TMZ captured the action as Governor Christie seemed to attempt to provoke a heckler with language like "You’re a real big-shot, shooting your mouth off!" When the heckler responded "Nah, just take care of the teachers," Christie charged toward the man and shout "Yeah, keep walkin’ away." Watch.
It won't happen ksker because he is surrounded by yes men goons. Everything that has happened to date has been staged. It wouldn't surprise me if they paid every one of these individuals to get in a fake confrontation to make their idiot governor look like he is in control. Just the opposite is true. He is being managed and handled just like every other fake politician. If he actually got into a real physical confrontation with anyone he would probably end up dropping dead of a heart attack.

Wouldn't it be cool if Christie attacked someone who stood up to him and challenged his ass to do more than scream like a jack ass big mouth punk?
I mean, wouldn't it be delightful to hear someone tell Christie to shut the hell up and do his damned job, rather than being the mouthpiece for the billionaire butt-heads he works so hard to represent now.
I’m just sayin’…I would certainly enjoy it! LOL.

The only thing bigger than his ego is his ass. This new 'tough white boy' persona adopted by the teas has no place in the leadership of this country. Most of these clowns are just big mouths and little ability. Let's hope New Jersey has the sense to make this clown a one termer. Send him to the gym next election.

This man does not need to be a representative of no state.he needs to answer every question that is presented to him. He needs to show leadership. He is a fat pig and he needs therapy(anger management that is) cause he is clearly out of line.

I agree we learned a sanitized version of history. I graduated from high school in 1965. Civics was a required course, so were 2 years of history, American and world. I'm not saying we were taught our "real" history, but we were taught to think critically. We watched our young, handsome, President murdered before our very eyes and we learned to not trust authority. My education taught me to want to learn more about my country and the world, and I consider that a successful education.
Public education has always been a target and Christy is a bully, plain and simple. Tell us some more about union thugs.
TAX THE RICH the real thugs are elected.

Linda I wonder what would happen if there was money for new books and I wonder if your govenor would try to find some program to cut to buy the books now that the nuts have spoken. I have told a few people off today on facebook for the ass in nine remarks. The stuff I post is usually something I try to fact check and hopefully make people think of what is going on today no matter of party or political views. The people here just think the world should be their way(conservative, tea party, or gop) or the highway if you dont agree with them. Some of the people I know are very cool towards me now as when I dont agree with the narrow rightie views I say so. They wont open their mind to anything that is based on facts even when you show it to them.. I am an independent and have voted that way for many many years as I dont like the label democrat or gop and now tea party. If a person who wont open their mind is a terrible thing. That is what is wrong with many on both sides they have forgotten to listen to each other in a civil way. I find the right is worst than the left and the right seems more hateful of others than the people on the left. I would even vote against President Obama if I felt he didnt do a thing or didnt try. I wont vote for the right's canidates as they lie, cheat, and dont do right by the american people because they are hateful and now seem like little puppets of the wealthy and corporations.
just my humble views...

Christie, the gangsta Governor needs to shut up and go away. He is impressing no one and making a complete fool out of himself. Angry outbursts is not leadership. This man obviously has serious issues with self esteem and self image or he would not be going around acting like this. He needs a good therapist and to stop having his meltdowns on the public dime.
Ron to answer your question. The real joke here is they don't even have the money to buy the godforsaken books anyway. We adopted an entire new Language Arts series at the end of 2010-2011 school year, we get to school August 2011 to discover that the books had not even been ordered due to lack of funds. It is another dog and pony show put on by the religious right to make us all think they actually have power, they don't! They pull this crap every couple of years when they realize the right has their usual collective amnesia.
But to get to the meat of the issue. In my mind since the beginning of published textbooks in this country, most of the history has been flawed and biased and some of it completely fabricated. When our government and our media decides they are going to quit lying to us about just about every major event in our nation's history then and only then will I ever put any stock in an American history textbook. The publishing companies are nothing more than money making corporations controlled by guess what----the banks and to a certain extent the government. If the media has the power to kill an important story about our country and make it cease to exist, then how can we trust anything we read in textbooks. Publishing is big business and much of it is very expensive. In case you haven't noticed they have outsourced most of that too, look at where alot of the books are being printed now----not here!
The government always seems to have this disdain for Hollywood, yet, in alot of instances Hollywood has taken up the slack where our government and our publishing industry have decided to have a make believe version of history. Two good examples of this are the recent movie about Lincoln by Robert Redford. It told the real story. The American history textbooks told a sanitized whitewashed untruthful story about the event. JFK by Oliver Stone, the media and everyone were screaming how dare he yet most of what was said in the movie was truth that the powers that be refuse to own up to.
Our school textbooks, like our schools, are nothing more than a reflection of our society. If we tolerate lies from our leaders, that is all we will get in our schools and our textbooks. So far the liars are winning.

This man needs to lose weight as the fat is clogging his brain cells. He loves his pay checks from the tax payers, but is willing to cut teachers and schools. He insults the idea of public service and what this country stands for...
Linda Huston question for you.
How as a teacher in Texas are you going to teach American History now that the gop=tea bagger conservatives are rewritting the history of America. I read a thing and did some fact checks, and I couldnt believe what they have done to history. I shared a thing from the other 98% site and listed some of the stuff they have changed. The religious right got their religious views that christian are the only religion this country was founded on and all others are now given second class status as they are not a true religion, now they have replaced thomas jefferson and other founders and political figures with Calvin and his followers view, how texas won the battle of the alamo, and OMG the others things are out of 1984. The final insult to history and this country was when I read they said this country is a consitutional republic and not a repersentive democracy. Where are the people of Texas on this and how can any person allow this to happen? Is this what our educational leaders are about "politics" and not about education and what is real and isnt real. Also these people have raised people like reagan, bush 1 and bush 2 and mccarthy, and other gop people to the status of gods, and dismissing or not even saying one progressive, democrat, minority, or any person who isnt a right winger did a one good thing for this country. They even deleted war heros, doctors, political people, they felt didnt fit their narrow views, or were gay, or minorities and the list goes on.
It is time to fight back on issues that so many dont want to admit this is happening, but the good mimons of the right will say this is the true history and it is finally coming to light as the evil left has distorted it by showing the founders were men of different ideas, that minorites were smart and that we had slaves, and that we did bad things to people like the native americans. I could go on, but I am happy I learned the history of this country no matter if it was good or bad it was our history and I learned not to repeat the bad but promote the good..
