Democrats are consulting with the parliamentarians in the House and the Senate on a way to pass health care with a simple majority.
President Obama Comments Obama told Republicans Thursday, "I think most Americans think that a majority vote makes sense."

Possible Reconciliation Under reconciliation, only 51 votes would be needed to advance the bill out of the Senate instead of the 60 needed under normal procedures.
Democrats are trying to find out if they can actually pass through the reconciliation process.
