Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-AR, one of the Senate's most vulnerable members, is facing a challenge from member of her own party.
Lt. Gov Halter Announcement Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, D-AR, announced Monday that he's seeking the Democratic nomination for Lincoln's seat.
Halter is the first Democrat to formally challenge Lincoln.
Lt. Gov. Halter said, "Washington is broken. It's working for the special interests, not Arkansas families."
Sen. Lincoln Comments Sen. Lincoln said, "I know that I am the target of both political extremes, but that's what makes this campaign so important to all of us."
Lincoln said, "This Senate seat belongs to Arkansas, not to outside groups that are angry I don't answer to them."
