Lt. Gov. Halter Raises Nearly $4 Million after One Day Posted on 3/2/2010
Arkansas Lt. Gov. Bill Halter raised nearly $4 million the first day after announcing he will run against Sen. Blance Lincoln for the Democratic primary.
Executives with AFL-CIO voted to not only endorse Halter but they also committed $3 million for an independent expenditure campaign to help him unseat Sen. Lincoln.
Lt. Gov. Halter also received about $620,000 from MoveOn.org.
The liberal group initially set a fundraising goal of half-a-million dollars, only to up the number to a full million as the money flowed in.
