But last night as I was washing my car, I struggled with some kind of goo -- it was almost like glue -- that had somehow plopped on my windshield and been smeared in an arc across it by the wiper. The auto parts store didn't have any Goo Gone or anything, and I didn't feel like running all over town looking for something, so I just did the best I could, but that stuff wasn't coming off.... I hate to buy wipes with chemicals and high prices, so I took a big plastic lidded container and poured some Bio Green Clean concentrate in, added some water, and then tore off paper towels and put them in, pressing them down until the container was packed tight and the towels were all wet or damp. (I had made both so I don't know which was which.) I used my usual "tools" for removing stains (Resolve Pre-Treat, Shout Advanced, and Tide Boost) to no success. I rubbed and rubbed and they were still present. The cloth was a solid color so I didn't want to use Clorox. [ previous ] [ next ] "Hey - I'm Sean. I work for Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center as a pet care technician in the center's boarding kennel. I'm the one who convinced our management to switch our kennel deep cleaner from a bleach-based cleaner to BioGreen Clean. As I said, we were using a popular bleach-based product to clean our kennels and drain troughs. The product worked but not without intense scrubbing that took paint off the kennel walls. And the drain troughs would not get completely clean even with the most intense scrubbing. The worst thing, though, was the fumes that built up inside the confined spaces of the cement kennel walls. So, when I used the product this weekend, I was sure it was something no one else had tried. My family moved into a rental home where the previous tenant had smoked a lot in one of the bedrooms for two years. The whole house smelled of second hand smoke. The landlord claimed to have cleaned the walls, but the smell of cigarettes was so strong, it caused my sister to have to use her inhaler her first night in the house. Because my sister is highly asthmatic, I decided something drastic had to be done. I got out the Bio Green Clean and mixed a 1:10 ratio (1 part BGC to 10 parts water) solution to clean the walls in that room. I thought we would never be able to change the way the house smelled just because of the horror stories I had heard about how difficult smoke was to remove from walls. We used a bucket of solution and a sponge mop to scrub the walls. Within the first strokes nothing seemed to be happening. But within 15 seconds, not only did the wall color change, the sooty nicotine coating started dripping down the walls and the walls turned yellow! We took videos of the process because we were so alarmed. It seemed like the product was actually helping the soot to leech from the paint layer on the wall with the very first coating of the cleaner. We waited a couple of minutes and applied a second and third coating/mopping of cleaner which did the trick - it removed the sooty yellow grime and streaks to reveal a clean white wall! It left the walls and ceiling really white! And the house was rid of the majority of smell. Now we will use the product in other rooms that may have been smoked in and are confident Bio Green Clean will restore the whole house to a more clean environment for everyone. What was even more reassuring is the fact that we know the product is safe. We had two small dogs running around in the house with the chaos of moving boxes and unpacking, but we did not have to worry for there safety while we cleaned. We kept them out of the area as much as possible, but did not have to panic for their safety when we found the puppy sleeping under one of the plastic drop clothes we used to cover furniture for the mopping. I live alone so not sure how that happened...however I looked at the chart and it said 31 parts water to 1 part Bio for furniture. I decided to use 20 parts water to 1 part Bio after getting a message from Anna that she thought that dilution rate might be too weak. I sprayed the area with water then dabbed on and "smeared" the BGC on...wiped with a damp wash cloth...let dry. Partially gone...but still there. Then I decided to double it...so 1 part BGC concentrate to 10 parts water. Did the same routine...and wow...all three grease spots gone! This sectional is really expensive and so was worried about the damage if this didn't work. Bio Green Clean is the best...course I knew that before but was worried about water spots, cleaning product residue, etc. But no...nothing. I kept thinking that no product could be *that* good :) Anyway, I have an old Victorian house (built in 1904). It has years of accumulated grime in places, from various past owners. I have 3 cats and a dog, and don't like to use harsh chemicals around my house, particularly on floors. Finally, last week, I decided to try Bio Green Clean out, after hearing another great testimonial. Two problems I have just solved with Bio Green Clean :- 1. Ground-in dirt on kitchen floor tiles My kitchen floor tiles are rough-surfaced, an odd choice for a kitchen floor, and years of dirt accumulated in the crevices, particularly on the tile borders near the grout. A couple of scrubbings with a brush and Bio Green Clean took all those years of gunk right out, where no other floor cleaner has worked. It will be much easier maintenance from here on out. 2. Residue from Double-Sided Tape I'm a dedicated energy-saver around the house, and like to use those plastic window sheets that get taped to the window frame in winter, for insulation. Trouble is, one can never get the double-sided tape off properly afterwards. I was wary of using a goo-removing product because they often strip the finishes too. The previous homeowner had used plastic sheets also, but not removed the tape residue, resulting in ugly, yellowed strips of dried tape adhesive on the window frames. First wash the white wraps went in crusty nasty brown yellow stinky came out brand spankin' new. Those wraps sat in my garage for 5 months before I finally made myself wash them. I tried to take them to a Landry mat the owner kicked me out they smelled so bad. I still cant believe in one wash they came out clean and smelling wonderful. First used the product on Monday, March 21st and the bottle is almost gone. I have convinced one friend that it is as good as Ed Schultz says it is! [ previous ] [ next ] "I wanted to touch base to let you know that we did get our bottle of the Bio Green Clean, and had the chance to test it in a number of ways for a few days. It did a fine job on the standard things I tested it on at home (kitchen, bathroom, the usual suspects), and being able to use something that works as well as, or even better than other products, with the added advantage of being pure green does speak well for it. The real fun though began when the boys around the shop each took a turn, and of course being boys they were off and running on the odd and difficult issues, which is where BGC leaves others in the dust (didn't actually intend it as a pun, but I kind of like it, so it stays). Mark had problems with his computer mouse, which has rubber sides that had become tacky over time, and for almost a year he tried everything he could think of to get rid of the stick. I deal in Oriental art, and there is a very fragile copper-gold alloy, shakudo, that patinates to a blue black, that is unfortunately subject to oxidation with handling. Soap and water, alcohol, and acetone will not clean it. I'm sure the length of time you expose the problem to Bio Green Clean is going to determine what will happen. One of my favorite natural bristle art brushes got left to dry with latex paint on it and I thought it was ruined. I added a little Bio Green Clean to a glass with some water in it and let it soak a couple of days. The brush is practically like new now. I hadn't noticed anyone mentioning this particular use and thought people should know about it. PS: I'm not vying for free product! I checked and saw he had evidently stepped in a big wad of pine sap, and small bits of gravel and debris were stuck in it, all in between the pads of his foot, caught in the hair. He's a small dog, so I put him on my lap and tried picking it out, but it was sticky and wasn't coming out, and it pulled his hair, so he didn't let me continue. Last fall I got a favorite pair of leather work gloves soaked with anti-freeze. I've used those gloves couple times since then and found that they turned by hands bright orange. Soap wouldn't remove the orange color from my hands and I was stuck with orange hands for a day or so until it just wore off. Bio Green Clean will do a great job for you. All carpet machine brands are different in how they perform with our product. You will need to experiment. Remember, you can always add more if the dilution is too weak. In your machine's soap reservoir, start out with a dilution of about 10>1 (10 parts water and 1> part BGC concentrate). Imagine my surprise when I discovered that this product works exactly as advertised! No lie! In addition to my own household use, I immediately replaced several other, more toxic products I used in my housecleaning business. I had long promised clients that I would consider "going green" just as soon as I found a green product that actually worked. Well, it does and I did! I've just ordered another gallon of the concentrate (must be 7 or 8 of them by now). Those free 32 oz. bottles of ready-to-use? I've left one at each house for clients to use between visits. They love it and me! I now have a BGC cleaning center in my garage by my deep sink. I use the empty gallon jugs for mixing up the various dilutions for easy refilling of the spray bottles.
